Launch of the Fuso heavy/medium duty truck range in Sri Lanka

United Motors Lanka PLC (UML) recently announced the launch of the Fuso heavy and medium-duty truck range in Sri Lanka.

The new range encompasses exceptional functionality, durability, and comfort, giving customers an entirely new breed of trucking technology. Speaking at the launch, UML Chief Executive Officer / Executive Director, Mr. Chanaka Yatawara noted that “Fuso heavy and medium- duty trucks delivers lower operating costs, making them the best choice for smart businesses.”

The Fuso heavy and medium- duty truck range comprises three model series: the FA Series, which can carry up to nine tons of cargo; the FI Series, which has a payload of up to 12 tons of cargo and also comes in a tipper variant; and the FJ series, which can transport up to 25 tons of cargo and which also features two tipper variants. The trucks’ chassis have been designed and built for heavy loads, giving customers more for their money.

Each Fuso heavy and medium-duty truck features world-class components that have endured extensive testing, including over 9 million kilometers of driving. The truck’s engine and power train have been optimized for local conditions, and feature the latest Japanese and German engineering, including Common Rail technology.
