Nissan is the World’s fastest rising Automotive Brand

Nissan has been crowned as the world’s fastest rising automotive brand for the year 2015. The company now stands at the 49th position as compared to the 56th position last year and the 90th position in the year 2011.

According to Interbrand, the world leader in brand consultancy, Nissan has been named one of the most valuable brands from this year. A study revealed that the company that was valued at $3.819 billion in 2011, now holds a value of $9.082 billion in a short span of just 5 years. This is also a significant increase by 19 percent this year, over $7.6 billion last year. The study cited the significant growth of the company to Nissan’s engagement with Millennials, effective sponsorship opportunities and customization offerings. Nissan had sponsored a couple of events in the past to reach younger audiences, like the UEFA Champions League activation in 2015 and NBC’s ‘The Voice’. The study also highlighted the company’s customization and personalization of products like the new US Juke Colour Studio and an innovative new ownership scheme for Leaf buyers in Europe as a reason for such phenomenal growth.

Roel de Vries, Nissan Corporate Vice President and Global Head of Marketing and Brand Strategy, said, “Nissan’s rapid ascent in five short years from place 90 to now 49 shows we’re playing in the right spaces and engaging with consumers while always remaining authentic.” He added, “Growing a global brand that’s exciting and innovative is an integral part of our company’s success.”
